U.S. authorities have offered a reward of up to $10 million for information on his whereabouts, reports Baltimore Chronicle with a reference to the cyber police.
Authorities stated that during a special operation involving Ukrainian police, a hacker group spreading ransomware across networks of leading international companies was neutralized. The group’s activities caused billions of dollars in damages to global businesses.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced a $10 million reward for information that could lead to locating one of the key members of this international hacker network. The Ukrainian national has been included on the EU’s most-wanted list for large-scale cyberattacks on multinational corporations.
In November 2023, the Ukrainian Cyber Police, together with the Main Investigation Department of the National Police and under the procedural supervision of the Office of the Prosecutor General, conducted an international operation to dismantle the organized criminal group.
