OpenAI launches GPT-5.2, the most powerful AI yet, enhancing office productivity, coding, and multi-step context for businesses and developers.

OpenAI has unexpectedly introduced its new flagship AI model, GPT-5.2, which has already sparked widespread attention in the technology community, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to OpenAI.com. Internal and independent tests indicate that GPT-5.2 shows a significant performance improvement compared to the previous GPT-5.1 version. Industry experts describe the launch as CEO Sam Altman’s response to Google’s recent Gemini 3 announcement, emphasizing the model’s increasing utility for businesses and developers.

A major highlight of GPT-5.2 is its ability to handle office-related tasks typically performed by “white-collar” professionals. The model now produces presentations, analytical tables, reports, and structured documents with higher accuracy, adapting to the user’s style and requirements. According to OpenAI developers, the algorithms were specifically optimized for corporate environments where precision, logical consistency, and speed are crucial. As a result, ChatGPT is increasingly considered a fully functional digital assistant for professional workflows.

Significant improvements have also been made in programming functionality. GPT-5.2 allows users not only to write code but also to build complete applications, including visualizations of complex processes such as ocean waves or physics simulations. The model better understands project architecture, component interactions, and detects errors more quickly, making it useful for both beginners and experienced developers.

Another key upgrade is its extended context memory. GPT-5.2 can remember previous conversations longer and more accurately, enabling complex multi-step interactions without losing coherence. The knowledge base has been updated to August 2025, ensuring responses are relevant to current events and technological trends. OpenAI also reports that the rate of incorrect answers, or “hallucinations,” has decreased by approximately 30% compared to GPT-5.1.

GPT-5.2 was launched recently and is currently available to all users with a paid subscription. OpenAI is expected to release detailed technical specifications soon and expand potential use cases. Analysts predict that the introduction of GPT-5.2 could intensify competition in the AI market and accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence in business processes worldwide.
