How to upload your music to Facebook: step by step detailed instructions

Adding music to Facebook allows you to personalize your profile, showcase your musical tastes, and create a more engaging and engaging experience for yourself and others. It's a great way to express yourself, share your favorite songs or artists, and connect with friends and followers who have similar musical interests. But how do you upload your music to Facebook and is it even possible?

How to add music to Facebook stories from the app's built-in audio library?
You can create a Facebook story with just music or with a video/photo and a soundtrack. Here's how:
- Launch the Facebook app on your iOS or Android device.
- In your News Feed, go to the “Create a Story” section.
- Select “Music.”
- You can browse the library or choose a genre of your choice. Alternatively, select one of the featured songs or use the search bar to find the tune you want.
- Tap on a song to add it to your Facebook story.
- Once the song is selected, the camera roll will immediately open and you can select a photo or video to accompany it. Drag the camera roll down if you want to limit yourself to just music for your Facebook story. Otherwise, select the photo or video you would like to use in your story.
- Your track will appear as an icon in the center of the screen. Click on it. This will allow you to adjust the placement of the icon: horizontal, vertical, etc. You can also trim the selected track to use only your favorite part of the song. At the top of the screen there are small scissors that can be used to trim the video. Then match the trimmed video with the selected audio. Your cut is limited to a maximum of 30 seconds.
- If you want to delete the selected song and find another one, just hold the song icon and drag it to the bottom of the screen, where the trash can will appear.
- If you are happy with your selection, now you need to work on the effects and others Once you're done, click Share to Storyz and that's it!
How to upload your music to Facebook Storyz
There is no official way to add custom audio to your stories that isn't in Facebook's built-in music library. But there is a hack that might be useful.
Since you can't add music after recording in the Facebook app, simply play the track you want in the background while recording your Facebook stories. Unfortunately, this method will affect the sound quality of the track you choose.
That's why we recommend creating your own videos using simple online video editing programs. Just follow these simple steps:
- Sign up for InVideo (for example, you can choose a different video editor) if you haven't already. Click on “Blank Canvas”, choose a size, and then click “Create Video” to get started.
- You will now be taken to the InVideo editor. Click on the “Upload Media” button or drag and drop files into the editor center.
- Once uploaded, drag the video to the center of the workspace to start making edits. A pop-up window will appear asking if you want to trim the video. Make any changes you want, but remember that Facebook Stories are limited to 30 seconds.
- Now you need to add your own music to your project. Simply click the Upload icon to the right of the search bar to upload files from your system. Alternatively, you can choose music from InVideo’s built-in collection of moods, genres, sfx, and more using the Music icon on the left side of the screen.
- Drag and adjust the timeline to sync the music with the text and visuals.
- If you want to add text to your video, simply click the “Text” tab in the row of options on the left. Choose from a variety of fonts and styles.
- Once you're done messing around, click the “Upload & Share” button, select your video quality, and click the “Export” button.
- And everything is ready! Download the video and follow the steps below to upload it to Facebook as a story with your own music. You can also share this video on social networks.
How to add music to Facebook profile
Since it is not possible to add music to Facebook profile on computer, we will tell you how to add music to Facebook profile on iPhone and Android devices.
- Log in to your Facebook account and click on your profile picture in the upper left corner.
- Scroll down the page and look for Music.
- Click on the “+” in the upper right corner.
- Choose your favorite songs or enter their name in the search field.
- Press “×” to finish. And if you want to listen to a song, just find it in the list and click on it.
- Go to the Music section as above.
- Click on the horizontal dots next to the song.
- Select “Pin to Profile.”
- To unpin songs, click on the three dots and select “Unpin from Profile.”
How to Upload Your Music to a Facebook Post

- Download Inshot to your phone and launch it.
- Click the “Video” button on the main interface to upload a video or photo you want to add to your Facebook post. And then go to the “Music” tab on the toolbar.
- Browse the song library, select the music you want to include in your FB post, and click the “Use” button. You can also use the Effects tab to add sound effects to your Facebook post.
- Click the “Save” button and export the video to your phone. Then open Facebook, upload the video, and click the “Add Video with Music” button on Facebook.
