Skoda Octavia is now available with all-wheel drive for both body versions – liftback and station wagon. In the 4×4 version, a 2.0-liter petrol engine with 204 hp is combined with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission. Orders for the all-wheel drive version have already begun.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Skoda press service.

From now on, the updated Skoda Octavia and Octavia Combi are available with 4×4 drive and a powerful 2.0 TSI petrol engine, which delivers 204 hp, which is 14 hp more than its predecessor. It is available exclusively with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission.

High fuel injection pressure (350 bar) and variable valve lift optimise its performance. Thanks to variable valve timing under low load conditions, the compression ratio is reduced, which reduces fuel consumption. The Octavia 4×4 liftback accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds, while the estate reaches this speed in 6.7 seconds. The maximum speed of both cars is 228 km/h.

The Octavia's all-wheel drive system is controlled by an electro-hydraulic inter-axle multi-plate clutch, supported by sensors that constantly monitor driving conditions. The control unit calculates and applies the optimum power distribution, allowing up to 100% of torque to be sent to the rear axle in appropriate conditions. If all wheels have equal grip, the inter-axle clutch distributes torque 50:50 between the front and rear axles.
