US President Donald Trump demands that Ukraine agree to a peace deal with Russia. Otherwise, the US will “withdraw from the process.”

RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to the broadcast of the meeting between Zelensky and Trump.

“I gave you (Zelensky, – ed.) the strength to be a tough guy. I don't think you could be a tough guy without us. Your people are very brave, but you either make a (peace – ed.) agreement or we withdraw (from the processes – ed.). And if you withdraw, you will understand how it is,” Trump said.

He added that Ukraine “has no trump cards.” But if the minerals agreement is signed, Ukraine “will be in a much better position.”

“But you don't show gratitude at all. That's not good,” the US president clarified.

Zelensky's dispute with Trump

Let us recall that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is on a visit to the United States today, February 28. He met with US President Donald Trump at the White House.

During a conversation with journalists, Zelensky and Trump began to quarrel over the war in Ukraine. The head of the Ukrainian state recalled that the war in Ukraine has not ended, neither under Barack Obama, nor under Donald Trump, nor under Joe Biden.

This provoked a sharp reaction from US Vice President J.D. Vance and then from Trump.

Details of the meeting of the presidents are in the RBC-Ukraine article.
