President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine and the United States are working on a new meeting. The head of state expects positive results as early as next week.

As reported by RBC-Ukraine, he spoke about this during his evening address.

“Today, our teams – Ukraine and the United States of America – began working on the meeting. Andriy Yermak and Michael Volz spoke, there is positive movement. We hope for the first results next week,” Zelensky noted.

According to the head of state, Ukraine is currently doing a lot of international work. In particular, today, March 5, the president spoke with the prime ministers of the Netherlands, Portugal and Slovenia, as well as with the Chancellor of Germany. Zelensky thanked the European leaders for their support.

The president also added that Ukraine is actively preparing for the EU summit, which will take place tomorrow, March 6, in Brussels.

“And we must also resume movement in the European direction, what concerns our European integration, namely clusters in the process of accession negotiations. We count on the support of our partners,” Zelensky emphasized.

Meeting of the USA and Ukraine

Let us recall that today the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak held a telephone conversation with the US President's National Security Advisor Michael Volz. They agreed on a meeting of the negotiating teams in the near future.

They also exchanged views on security issues and coordination of positions within the framework of bilateral relations between Ukraine and the United States.

We also reported earlier that Ukraine and the United States are discussing the date and location of a meeting to negotiate an end to the war. Discussions are underway regarding the negotiating team.

US National Security Adviser Mike Walz said “officials are discussing a date, location and negotiating team that would bring an end to the war.”
