On Saturday evening, March 8, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv and a number of regions of Ukraine. The Russians again launched Shahed-type attack drones in the direction of our country.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram.
As of 21:52, Russian drones were moving:
- in the Nikolaev region – heading southwest;
- in the Dnepropetrovsk region – heading west;
- in Poltava region – heading southwest;
- in the Kharkov region – heading north;
- in Sumy region – heading west, to Chernigov region. Another group heading south, to Poltava region;
- in the Chernihiv region – on a southwesterly course, towards the Kyiv region;
- in the Cherkasy and Kirovograd regions – heading west;
As of 23:07, enemy UAVs were moving:
- in the Cherkasy region heading southwest;
- in the Poltava region heading north;
- in the Dnepropetrovsk region heading north;
- in the north of the Sumy region on a southwesterly course, in the direction of the Poltava region and to the north;
- in the Chernihiv region on a westerly course, towards the Kyiv region;
- in the Kyiv and Zhitomir regions heading west.
As of 23:36 , the bulk of Russian attack drones were moving:
- in the Kyiv, Chernihiv and Zhitomir regions along a south-westerly course;
- in the north of the Khmelnytsky region heading towards Starokostiantyniv.
At 0:19 the military reported a threat of using attack UAVs in the city of Starokostiantyniv, Khmelnytskyi region. Air defense is possible, stay in safe places.
As of 00:41, enemy UAVs were moving:
- in the north of the Khmelnytsky region on a southwesterly course, towards Starokostiantyniv;
- in the Chernihiv region heading north;
- in the Kyiv region heading west and east.
According to monitoring channels, as of 1:32 am, no more enemy attack UAVs were observed in Ukrainian airspace.

Massive shelling of Ukraine
On the evening of March 8, Russian troops attacked the Zaporizhia region with attack drones. Up to 10 explosions were heard in the city.
On the night of March 8, Russia launched several missiles and almost 150 drones at Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed more than half of the drones and one cruise missile. Another 54 enemy drone imitators were lost locally.
In particular, the Odessa and Kharkov regions were under attack, and in the evening the enemy also struck Dobropillya in the Donetsk region. As a result of the attack, more than 10 people were killed and 40 were injured.
In addition, yesterday, March 7, the Russian army also launched a combined attack on Ukraine, using dozens of missiles and more than a hundred drones. The enemy attacked energy and gas infrastructure in various regions.
