Zelensky told who will go to Saudi Arabia for talks with the US

The Ukrainian delegation will hold talks with the United States in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, March 11. In addition to the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, three more officials will attend the meeting.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on X (Twitter).

“I will begin next week with a visit to Saudi Arabia, and after my meeting on Monday with the Crown Prince, Ukrainian diplomatic and military representatives will remain for a meeting on Tuesday with the American team,” the president said.

According to Zelensky, the Ukrainian team will be represented by the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha, the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov and the deputy head of the Office of the President Pavlo Palisa.

The head of state stressed that Ukraine will have a clear intention to work constructively. Zelensky hopes that it will be possible to discuss and agree on “the necessary decisions and steps.”

“Ukraine has been striving for peace from the very first second of this war. There are absolutely realistic proposals on the table. The main thing is to move quickly and effectively,” the president added.

Negotiations between Ukraine and the USA

Recall that recently it became known that Ukraine and the United States will hold talks in Saudi Arabia. President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Saudi Arabia on Monday, March 10, and the following day, delegations from Ukraine and the United States will hold a meeting.

It was reported that US Special Representative for the Middle East Steve Witkoff, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz would take part in the negotiations on the US side.

According to Foreign Ministry spokesman Georgiy Tykhy, the agenda of the meeting will include bilateral relations, strategic partnership, its further development and the path to peace. He also noted that the meeting will be a good opportunity to discuss Zelensky's proposal to establish a ceasefire in the air and at sea.
