At the Seoul International Motor Show, the Korean automaker officially unveiled the second-generation Nexo hydrogen crossover.

The new Hyundai Nexo is made in the Art of Steel style. The severity of the image is emphasized by angular lines of the body and square LED sections in the headlights and taillights. The crossover has become larger than its predecessor: length – 4750 mm, width – 1865 mm, height – 1640 mm.
The interior is distinguished by a large number of displays. On the sides of the front panel, there are screens for side cameras, because Nexo does not have the usual mirrors. The displays of the instruments and media system are combined into a curved block. The interior mirror also has a display built in that transmits a picture from the rear camera. In addition, a built-in video recorder is declared, which records a picture from all cameras.
The front seats with retractable footrests have thin backs, increasing the amount of space in the back row. The pleasant atmosphere in the cabin is provided by the ventilation of all seats, a panoramic roof and contour lighting. Most of the trim is made from recycled plastic waste. The trunk volume is 993 liters.
The hydrogen power plant can produce a peak of 190 kW instead of 135 kW in the previous Nexo. This figure is made up of the output of the battery (80 kW versus 40 kW) and the electrochemical generator (110 kW instead of 95 kW). However, in any case, this value is given with a reserve, because the traction electric motor on the front axle develops 150 kW (204 hp).
This is enough to accelerate the hydrogen crossover from zero to the first “hundred” in 7.8 seconds. The maximum speed is 179 km / h. The traction battery with a capacity of 2.64 kW * h and three hydrogen cylinders with a total volume of 162.6 liters provide more than 700 km of travel without refueling. The serial crossover should appear in the main world markets before the end of this year.
