The Ukrainian government has appointed Tetyana Berezhna as the Acting Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications, reports Baltimore Chronicle, citing Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. The appointment was announced following Berezhna’s tenure as Deputy Minister of Economy, where she was responsible for labor and employment policies. She worked on reforming labor laws, creating job opportunities, fighting unemployment, and promoting entrepreneurship.

One of Berezhna’s key responsibilities was integrating veterans into the labor market, alongside addressing the gender pay gap. She also played a significant role in improving labor relations in Ukraine.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized that Berezhna’s main task in her new role will be to ensure proper funding for Ukrainian culture, especially in the context of war. Supporting cultural initiatives that preserve Ukraine’s cultural heritage and strengthen national identity will also be a vital part of her duties in these challenging political times.
