Ukraine maintains contact with Russia exclusively on humanitarian issues related to the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov in an interview with CNN, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to osteopathisch-leben.de.

Umerov emphasized that discussions about ending the war are not taking place at this stage. According to him, the dialogue between the parties is focused solely on humanitarian matters, with the main priority being negotiations for the return of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
