The highly anticipated horror series Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen, executive produced by Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer and directed by Weronika Tofilska (Baby Reindeer), will premiere on Netflix on March 26, following the events of a doomed wedding in the week leading up to the ceremony, reports Baltimore Chronicle via Netflix. The series stars Camila Morrone (Daisy Jones and the Six) as Rachel Harkin and Adam DiMarco (The White Lotus, Overcompensating) as Nicky Cunningham, alongside Jeff Wilbusch, Karla Crome, Gus Birney, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ted Levine, and Sawyer Fraser.

In addition to the Duffer Brothers, Hilary Leavitt executive produces for Upside Down Productions, and Andrea Sperling also serves as executive producer. The series features direction from Axelle Carolyn and Lisa Brühlmann, marking the first Upside Down Pictures project unrelated to Stranger Things to receive a release date.

The show’s story centers on the couple and their inner circle as tensions rise and dark secrets emerge in the days leading to their wedding. Netflix has released first-look images of Morrone, DiMarco, and the ensemble cast, showcasing the series’ eerie atmosphere and suspenseful tone.

This release follows announcements from the Duffers about The Boroughs, another upcoming Netflix series featuring Geena Davis, Bill Pullman, and Alfre Woodard, scheduled for release later this year. The series continues the Duffer Brothers’ expansion beyond the Stranger Things universe, highlighting their growing portfolio of original horror and suspense projects.
