In Vinnytsia region, 132 medical institutions provide rehabilitation assistance to military personnel

In the Vinnytsia region, rehabilitation assistance to the military is provided by both primary and specialized healthcare institutions. Now there are 132 such medical institutions.

The head of the Vinnitsa Regional Police Department, Sergei Borzov, announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“Everything must be done to help military personnel return from a hospital bed to a full life. In the Vinnytsia region, 132 health care institutions, both primary and specialized, provide rehabilitation assistance to veterans, Borzov informed.

According to him, 14 institutions in the region have assistive technology rooms where rehabilitation services are provided.

Borzov noted that in 2023, tremendous work has been done in the Vinnytsia region to create departments and rehabilitation centers.

“Such departments must be in every cluster hospital,” the head emphasized OVA.

Currently, out of seven such medical institutions, only three have rehabilitation departments.

Borzov believes that it is imperative to create a “Hero’s Chamber” in every rehabilitation department. for long-term care and rehabilitation of defenders.

The ward should be equipped with a separate bathroom, a multifunctional bed, air conditioning, etc. But, in addition to creating comfortable conditions, there should be professionals next to the military who will provide all the necessary assistance support.

The head of the Department of Internal Affairs also emphasized that in the cluster hospitals of the Vinnytsia region it is necessary to create Mental Health Centers, where mobile psychiatric teams will work.

“Currently, four mobile mental health units operate on the basis of two regional institutions psychiatric teams. But more specialists are needed. Particular attention is paid to first psychological aid at the primary level, Borzov added.
