In turn, the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko clarified that leading French specialists in prosthetics and rehabilitation are conducting training for 25 colleagues from different regions of Ukraine.

According to him, this is a continuation of intergovernmental cooperation between the ministries of health of Ukraine and France, which was enshrined in the corresponding memorandum in April last year, as well as the practical implementation of the international medical partnership — initiative launched during the third Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen in Kyiv.

“Then 25 Ukrainian hospitals received “twin cities” in different parts of the world. Now there are already 34 of them, including the ultra-modern Superhumans Center. Using the example of a professional school, we see how this initiative works: exchange of experience and best practices to improve the quality of medical care for the benefit of Ukrainian patients,” Lyashko noted.

According to the minister, the training, which takes place on the basis of the Protez Foundation, is mainly focused on the rehabilitation of people with amputations and takes place in the “training for trainers” format.

“Each lecture day is reinforced by analysis of clinical cases and practical tasks. Ukrainian doctors will continue to scale up the acquired knowledge as part of further work in their multidisciplinary teams,” Lyashko noted.

&ldquo ; The introduction of the profession of prosthetist-orthosist and the training system for these specialists is extremely important for the rehabilitation system in the healthcare sector. Training will be carried out at the master’s level in the specialty “Technologies of medical diagnostics and treatment”, corresponding to the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED),” Lyashko emphasized.

It is noted that the training The course was organized by the public organization “Ukrainian Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine” and PROTEZ FOUNDATION within the framework of the intergovernmental cooperation program between the ministries of health of Ukraine and France.
