As part of the National Strategy for creating barrier-free space and services in Ukraine, more than 2 thousand medical institutions are connected to high-speed Internet.

As Ukrinform reports, this was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.

The expansion of the Internet network makes it easier for patients to access digital services. In particular, it gives people, especially those living in rural areas, the opportunity to join the state program “Affordable Medicines”. The program provides an opportunity to receive vital medications against cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, bronchial asthma, mental and behavioral disorders, epilepsy and diabetes insipidus, as well as for the prevention of strokes and heart attacks. More than 70 million electronic prescriptions have already been issued under this reimbursement program. You can receive an electronic prescription remotely.

The direction is being implemented within the framework of the National Strategy for the creation of barrier-free space and services in Ukraine. The barrier-free strategy was developed on the initiative of First Lady Elena Zelenskaya.

As reported, since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has damaged or destroyed 1,740 medical facilities in Ukraine.
