“Training from the American Heart Association on pre-medical care and advanced life support continues in Kyiv. 102 teachers from higher educational institutions, who are also practicing doctors, will take part in them, – the report states.

Indicates that in total, participants attended three courses: basic life support (BLS); advanced cardiovascular support (ACLS); advanced pediatric life support (PALS).

The training took place in two stages: a theoretical part online for 10 days and practical skills training.

The Ministry of Health noted that the practical block continues at the P. L. Shupik National University of Health of Ukraine under the guidance of American Heart Association instructors who arrived from the United States of America.

After completing training and instructor courses, teachers will be able to become certified instructors of the American Heart Association.

The Ministry of Health emphasized that such exercises make it possible to increase the number of international certified instructors in educational institutions, as well as – to unify the information that teachers provide to students in accordance with international standards.

The courses were held with the support of the charitable non-governmental organization MedGlobal.

As Ukrinform reported, more than 100 of Canada's best medical professionals and the United States over the past 7 years, within the framework of international missions, have conducted a number of practical exercises for Ukrainian doctors, in particular in the field of reconstructive surgery.
