73 generators will be delivered to medical facilities in case of blackouts.

Ukrainian medical institutions will receive 73 powerful generators for uninterrupted operation in case of blackouts.

The Ministry of Health reports this, Ukrinform reports.

"Ukrainian hospitals, primary health care centers, outpatient clinics, perinatal centers and oncology clinics will receive 73 generators with a capacity of 10.8-240 kW for uninterrupted operation during possible power outages,” the message says.

Generators are distributed in Ternopil, Rivne, Chernihiv, Kharkov, Khmelnitsky, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnitsa, Poltava, Kirovograd, Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Sumy, Zhytomyr, Lvov regions and the city of Kiev.

So far, as noted in the Ministry of Health, the process of supplying equipment to medical institutions in Ukraine continues in accordance with the current needs of each region.

Equipment was purchased from joint project of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the World Bank “Emergency response to COVID-19 and vaccination in Ukraine”. As reported, for uninterrupted operation, Ukrainian medical institutions have 11,139 generators, which will be activated automatically in the event of an emergency.
