Canadian philanthropists donated fifty life support systems to Ukraine

Canadian charity "Maple Hope Foundation" sent 50 life support systems “Moves” to Ukraine to help treat seriously wounded Ukrainians.

As an Ukrinform correspondent was told by the foundation, all systems developed by the Canadian company Thornhill Medical have already arrived in Ukraine.

The charitable organization added that they will also provide training for Ukrainian doctors who will use these systems.

«The Maple Hope Foundation is proud to be able to provide innovative Canadian technology for the second time and train medical professionals and first responders in Ukraine. Training provided by Thornhill Medical experts ensures we build long-term capacity to professionally use life-saving equipment. We received many requests last year for additional systems and were able to fulfill them,” said foundation president Yaroslav Pokhilko.

Last year, Maple Hope already donated 30 such systems to Ukraine.

Moves is the world's only micro-integrated portable life support system that contains most of the treatment and monitoring that occurs in a hospital's intensive care unit. During the year, the systems were used by a number of medical personnel – from combat medics to rescuers on evacuation trains.
