Photo In Ivano-Frankivsk, doctors from the Central City Clinical Hospital performed 10 operations on military man Pyotr Yablinchuk.
The Central City Clinical Hospital of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
“Peter Yablinchuk is a special patient for us, because he is the first defender of Ukraine who ended up in the Central City Clinical Hospital at the very beginning of a full-scale war. At the Central City Clinical Hospital, Peter Yablinyuk was repeatedly subjected to necrectomy, that is, removal of dead tissue. The doctors also performed a skin graft on him, skin grafting in several stages. A total of 10 surgical interventions were performed,” the Central City Clinical Hospital reports.
According to their information, the military man had a severe mine-explosive injury to his left limb and significant damage to any tissue.
“The back of the thigh, knee and lower leg were completely without skin and muscle. Since the artery was not damaged, the doctors’ main goal was to preserve the ending,” recalls Stepan Zelik, head of the department of traumatology, orthopedics and reconstructive and plastic surgery.
Peter himself says that he volunteered for the front line, having military experience in ATO. He was wounded in the Zhytomyr region when the fighters were covered with fire by enemy aircraft.
«His treatment at the Central City Clinical Hospital was completely successfully completed, and his leg was saved,” the Central State Clinical Hospital stated.
As Ukrinform reported, Lviv doctors perform plastic surgery on a resident of the Kherson region, who was shot in the face by a Russian soldier.
