In Odessa, ambulance doctors received 200 bulletproof vests from volunteers

Video Doctors of the Odessa Center for Emergency Medicine received from the NGO “Lviv Defense Cluster” 200 body armor.

The Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine of the Odessa Region reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“On April 3, 2024, the Odessa Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine received 200 first-class body armor from the public organization Lviv Defense Cluster, which is extremely necessary for our employees,” the message says.

Behind the words Director of the Center for Emergency Medicine Svetlana Izosimova, these anti-fragment body armor will be sent primarily to those stations, substations and bases where emergencies most often occur in connection with enemy shelling of Odessa and the region.

As Bogdan Yarinko, co-founder of the Lviv Defense Cluster NGO, said, the body armor was made at the expense of the people of Latvia.

We brought special first class body armor for doctors. Before Odessa, we supplied the Kharkov and Donetsk regions with protective equipment “Yesterday we brought body armor to Kherson. The vests are anti-fragment, and based on the latest events that occurred in Odessa, we believe that every medic and rescuer should wear body armor,” Yarinko added.

As Ukrinform reported, in Odessa On March 19, emergency medical assistant Sergei Rotaru, who died from a Russian missile explosion on March 15, was taken on his final journey.
