Almost 300 thousand patients received rehabilitation assistance in 2023.

«296,394 patients in 2023 received rehabilitation care in inpatient and outpatient settings. Of these, 61,737 are children under 17 years of age (inclusive), the report says.
According to the National Health Service, 116,315 patients received inpatient rehabilitation under the Medical Guarantee Program, of which 17,636 patients up to 17 years of age (inclusive).
186,634 patients underwent rehabilitation on an outpatient basis, including 45,680 patients under 17 years of age (inclusive).
At the same time, in ESOH (electronic healthcare system) reported that in 2023 the highest rate of patients receiving rehabilitation services was in the Dnipropetrovsk region – 37,862 patients; Kyiv – 35,669 patients; Lviv region – 21,958 patients; Kharkovskaya – 20,480 patients; Sumy – 18,481 patients.
As Ukrinform reported, the Medical Guarantee Program for 2024 provides for three rehabilitation packages: “Rehabilitation care for adults and children in inpatient settings,” “Rehabilitation outpatient settings” and “Medical rehabilitation of infants born prematurely and/or sick during the first three years of life.”
Rehabilitation services within the packages are paid for by the NHSU, so they are free of charge for all Ukrainians in need of rehabilitation.
During 2023 – early 2024, 1.6 million e-referrals for rehabilitation were generated in the electronic health care system.
