Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky said that the top Russian military leadership has set the task for its troops to capture Chasov Yar by May 9.
«In order to adequately respond to enemy actions and strengthen the defense of our troops in this direction, measures were taken to significantly strengthen the brigades with ammunition, drones, and electronic warfare equipment», — emphasized by the commander in chief.
According to him, the enemy is also concentrating efforts to:
— breakthrough of our defense west of Bakhmut;
— exit to the Seversky Donets canal — Donbass;
— capture of the village of Chasov Yar;
— creating conditions for further advance towards the Kramatorsk agglomeration.
At the same time, Syrsky emphasized that so far all the enemy’s plans are being defeated by the powerful defense of Ukrainian soldiers.
«The implementation of the enemy’s plans is hampered by the heroic defense of our brigades, which literally dug into the ground, holding back the enemy’s daily attacks.
