On the night of December 25, NPC Ukrenergo provided emergency assistance at the request of the Polish transmission system operator PSE, having received excess electricity from it.
As Ukrinform reports, Ukrenergo reports this on Facebook.
“Tonight, at the request of the Polish operator PSE, emergency assistance was activated for the Polish energy system with a total volume of 3050 MWh. This is not a commercial import, but precisely one of the types of emergency assistance. The Polish energy system had excess electricity at night on a holiday and invited neighboring countries assistance in its consumption. Ukraine thus received an additional amount of electricity,” the message says.
Currently, the electricity produced by Ukrainian power plants of all types is sufficient to ensure energy supply to all legal and household consumers.
As a result of warming, the daily maximum consumption on December 24 was 1% less than on the previous Sunday, December 17. At the same time, Ukrenergo calls on Ukrainians to save energy, because consumption is seasonally high.
Export of electricity on December 25 no. Imports are planned throughout the day from Slovakia, Romania and Moldova with a total volume of 17,736 MWh.
As reported, on December 23, at the request of Poland, which had surplus electricity, Ukraine helped its energy system by accepting 1,500 MW/hour of electricity.
