In 2023, the volume of purchases carried out through the Prozorro system tripled compared to last year – to UAH 480 billion.
As Ukrinform reports, First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko said this, the press service of the Ministry of Economy reports.
“Over the past year, the system has undergone some transformation to meet wartime requirements – the duration of procedures has been significantly reduced, it has become possible to hide sensitive information, and such a fast and effective procurement tool as Prozorro Market has been scaled up. As a result, the volume of purchases carried out through the Prozorro system tripled in 2023 – to UAH 480 billion. And as of recent months, more than 80% of procurement funds are spent through the Prozorro system, which means in a competitive and open way,” Sviridenko said.
According to her, an illustration of the transparency of the public procurement system was the return of armed defense procurement of the Ministry of Defense to the Prozorro system. As a result, in just six months, these tenders managed to save almost UAH 7 billion, or 16% of the budget. In total, based on the results of 2023, based on completed tenders, customers managed to reduce the price of their purchases by UAH 37 billion from the expected cost.
As reported, the government of Ukraine will work to ensure that the state public procurement system Prozorro becomes a mandatory tool for procurement of goods, services or work financed by donor or international organizations.
