“During the operation of the Government Grant Program for processing enterprises, 3,086 applications were received through the Action portal. The Ministry of Economy made 650 positive decisions for a total amount of UAH 2,619,600.0 thousand. The condition for issuing grants is the creation of up to 25 new jobs by enterprises, so the moment Since the start of the program, about 10 thousand people have received work,” the statement says.
According to statistics, the most popular types of activities among processing companies applying for grants are: food production, wood processing and manufacturing of wood and cork products, except furniture; production of products from straw and plant materials for weaving; production of finished metal products, except machinery and equipment, and production of furniture.
The Ministry of Economy emphasizes that the development of domestic production is a necessary condition for increasing the stability of the Ukrainian economy. The transition from a resource-based economy to processing is an urgent priority for the state, since there are no examples of successful resource-based states. Now this is a matter of national security, because the more capable the processing enterprises are, the more taxes will flow into the budget and the more resources the state will have to support our security and defense sector.
“This year, this government program has become almost the only source of available financing – the majority of new loans were issued within the 5-7-9 range. In 2023, thanks to the UAH 16 billion budgeted, we were able to finance a loan portfolio of UAH 130 billion,” noted First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko.
