Due to the blockade of the border, Ukraine's budget will not receive billions of hryvnia.
Due to the blocking of the border by Polish farmers, the budget of Ukraine in March 2024 will receive less customs payments by UAH 6.5 billion.
This was stated by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and customs policy Daniil Getmantsev.
“6.5 billion UAH. This is how much Ukraine will lose in revenues from customs as a result of blocking the border in March. This is one and a half fully equipped brigades,” he noted.
< p>Daniil Getmantsev also recalled that in February the Ukrainian budget lost customs revenues by UAH 7.7 billion.
According to media reports, Polish authorities signed an agreement with protesting farmers on subsidies for grain and the temporary closure of the border with Ukraine for the transit of some agricultural products.
Recall that the EC paid Ukraine the first tranche of a large aid package of 50 billion euros – the amount Kiev received.
