The PSO expires on August 31.
During the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine, Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko announced the extension of special obligations to supply gas to thermal energy producers until the end of the 2024-2025 heating season.
This is reported by Ukrinform.
“Indeed, the “gas” PSO expires on August 31. It will be extended until the end of the next heating season, that is, until April 30. The corresponding project has already been developed,” Galushchenko said.
According to him, gas for the specified categories of the population could become more expensive from September 1.
The Minister noted that the special obligations for the supply of blue fuel to thermal energy producers will be extended until the end of the 2024/2025 heating season. Thus, the gas tariff for the needs of those who produce thermal energy will remain unchanged.
Earlier it became known that in Ukraine they may increase gas prices as a result of the termination of Russian gas transit through the Ukrainian gas transportation system.
