Who exactly will get a pay increase next year.
Teachers in Ukraine should receive special payments from January 1, 2025.
This was announced by Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko during a press conference on November 28.
According to Marchenko, the amount of additional payments to teachers has been approved in Ukraine.
However, the decision to introduce such support was not made immediately. Additional payments to teachers were taken into account when finalizing the state budget of Ukraine for 2025.
Who will receive an increase in pay in 2025
The cash bonus for next year will be received by employees of pedagogical institutions of general secondary education, both state and municipal, the Ministry of Education announced.
“The resolution will be in effect from January 1, 2025, until the end of martial law (teachers will continue to receive the bonus until the end of the year in which martial law is lifted),” the report says.
Additional payments to teachers: when and how much
Starting in the new year, teachers will receive the following additional payments:
- from January 1, 2025 – an additional UAH 1,000 (UAH 1,300 to pay taxes);
- from September 1, 2025 – an additional UAH 2,000 (2 600 UAH to pay taxes).
Meanwhile, Ukraine has introduced 6,500 UAH per child. The government spoke about such new payments. We are talking about the new program “Winter Support”, which provides for a one-time payment of 6,500 UAH for each child from low-income families, as well as IDP families (internally displaced persons), where there are children or adults with disabilities of group I.
