As of December 3, Ukrainians with the help of “Diya” submitted more than four million applications for the “Winter Support” program. There is demand for this type of assistance in the country.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting.
“A mandatory condition for receiving the “Winter Support” is staying in Ukraine. In this way, we support those who stay to live and work in our country. When submitting an application through “Diya”, each participant confirms the fact of staying in Ukraine. After that, the state checks the veracity of the information in the registers of the State Border Service,” the head of the Cabinet of Ministers emphasized.
Shmyhal reminded that the received thousand can be spent on paying for utilities, medical, educational services, buying medicine, donating to the Armed Forces of Ukraine or making another charitable contribution. However, the latter will only be available to accounts of legally registered charitable organizations.
Let us recall that earlier Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal told how to correctly transfer “Zelensky's thousand” to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Yes, this can be done with the help of officially registered Ukrainian charitable foundations.
