The cost of dairy products has increased – and this is not the end.
In Ukraine, on the eve of the New Year holidays, there is an increase in prices for food products. Dairy products were no exception.
Analyst of the Ukrainian Agrarian Business Club Maksym Gopka told “24 Channel” what their prices will be.
Gopka explained that the dynamics of prices for dairy products in recent months demonstrates a steady growth trend, due to the increase in the cost of raw milk.
Thus, in the period from September to December 2024, the cost of butter increased most significantly – from 70-80 UAH to more than 100 UAH per 200 grams. This trend is a consequence of the reduction in milk supply on the domestic market, caused by a decrease in the number of cows in households, which was accelerated as a result of military actions.
“At the same time, the growth in milk production costs, associated with the increase in the cost of feed and other resources, led to an increase in the cost of production,” the expert said.
The analyst noted that, according to the forecast, prices will further depend on milk yields, which are lower in winter than in summer.
Earlier it was reported that the increase in the cost of the traditional New Year's Olivier salad, according to experts' calculations, increased by almost 20%.
