The change will only affect commercial consumers.
The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NERC) has approved a new tariff for the transmission of electricity for 2025, which will be 30% higher than the current one.
This was announced at a meeting of the NERC.
The tariff for electricity transmission for 2025 is set at 686.23 UAH/MWh. This tariff represents payment for Ukrenergo services for the transportation of electricity from the producer to the commercial consumer.
In Ukraine, electricity tariffs for households will remain at the current level until at least May 1, 2025. This means that in the winter period of 2024-2025, the cost of 1 kWh will be 4.32 UAH/kWh, regardless of the transmission tariff.
However, it should be noted that there are various electricity tariffs in the country, including multi-zone and special tariffs for users with electric heating.
In addition, the tariff for electricity transmission services for green metallurgy enterprises in 2025 will be 359.55 UAH/MWh, which is 1.4% lower than the current tariff of 364.7 UAH/MWh.
The tariff for dispatch control services was also reduced by 5%, and in 2025 it was set at 98.97 UAH/MW.
Earlier it was reported that in the spring of 2025 the tariff for electricity for Ukrainians may increase to 4.7 UAH per kilowatt-hour.
In Ukraine, the price of electricity for one category of consumers has increased since October 1. Read more about this in the news.
