According to Andriy Yermak, this was possible despite Russia's attempts to destroy the Ukrainian energy system during the war.
Ukraine received liquefied gas from the US for the first time. The supply was carried out through Greece.
This was written by the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak on Telegram.
“This is not just cargo – this is a strategic step,” he noted.
According to Yermak, this was possible despite Russia's attempts to destroy the Ukrainian energy system during the war.
“We have won another victory on the energy front,” the head of the OP emphasized.
Yermak reported that the energy company DTEK received this gas at a Greek LNG terminal, demonstrating a high level of international cooperation.
“The agreement with the American company Venture Global until 2026 is stability and confidence in the future for millions of Ukrainians,” he wrote.
Yermak emphasized that Ukraine is successfully integrating into the global energy market.
“I thank our international partners for their support and trust. Together we are liberating the world energy system from Russian blackmail,” he summed up.
Recall that on December 19, Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico said that gas transit through Ukraine is one of the five main disagreements between the countries. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded that Ukraine will not accept any transit options that will allow Russia to continue to earn money.
