The tariffs for gas and its distribution will remain in effect.
The electricity tariff set in Ukraine will be in effect during the current heating season. The government has no plans to increase it.
This was announced by Energy Minister German Galushchenko during the “Question Hour to the Government” on January 17.
“The current tariff makes it possible to financially balance the market. Therefore, there are no plans to raise the tariff today,” the minister assured.
According to him, there are currently no prerequisites for an increase in the cost of electricity. The only condition that could dramatically change the situation is Russian shelling, the minister says.
“Unless the level of destruction is such that they simply will not be able to hold on physically. For example, Ukrenergo is a tariff organization, it does all the restoration at its own expense. Therefore, it would have to be such a global destruction to raise this issue,” Galushchenko noted.
The head of the Ministry of Energy also confirmed that tariffs for gas and its distribution will remain in force.
As reported, some pensioners will not be able to pay for utilities. We are talking about residents of rural areas who worked in the fields of culture, medicine or education before retirement and continue to live in rural areas.
