There is no talk yet about the seriousness of the social security reform.
The Cabinet of Ministers wants to abolish payments to people with 2nd and 3rd disability groups. Instead, they can introduce a larger payment amount for group 1.
The first deputy chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans' Rights, Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Batkivshchyna faction Mykhailo Tsymbalyuk, spoke about this in an interview with Ukrainian News.

According to the MP, the government is currently saying things that are not even discussed with deputies, for which laws need to be adopted.
“There are various conversations, but I don't see the seriousness of the social security reform. I don't perceive the reform as such, to simply take money from someone. This is the wrong approach,” he said about the upcoming social policy reform.
According to Tsymbalyuk, the authorities should be prepared for the increase in the number of veterans and people with disabilities, who need not only social assistance, but also create conditions for employment. He notes: it is impossible to survive on 2 thousand hryvnias received by a person with a disability.
“When they say that a person with the first disability group will receive 20,000, okay, and the second, third – nothing, then this is unacceptable. At least leave this minimum, because there is really nowhere to get money. Create conditions so that a person can find a job,” Tsymbalyuk noted.
