The management of government agencies receives salaries of more than 300 thousand UAH.
In Ukraine, the average salary of officials in central government agencies in December 2024 reached 79.8 thousand UAH. This is more than twice as much as in January of the same year.
This is evidenced by information from the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
The average salary of Ukrainian officials for 2024 has more than doubled – from 38.6 thousand to 79.8 thousand UAH.
However, December is not an indicative month, since at the end of the year civil servants are paid various bonuses and allowances. On average, 21.8 thousand officials received salaries of 54.4 thousand UAH per year.
It should be noted that the salaries of officials significantly exceed the average level in Ukraine. Thus, according to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, in September the average salary was 18 thousand UAH.
Which government agencies have the highest salaries?
In December 2024, the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine was the leader in terms of salaries. On average, employees of the department received salaries of 134.5 thousand UAH. The Ministry of Culture employs 380 people.
In second place is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with salaries of UAH 125,000. The department employs 140 people.
In third place is the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolicy and Freedom of Conscience. The salaries of its employees are UAH 122,300. The institution employs 35 people.
Employees of the Antimonopoly Committee will earn UAH 118,200. The department employs 268 people.
Salaries of heads of government agencies
As for the heads of government agencies, the highest salaries in December were received by:
- The State Service for Export Control – 370.5 thousand UAH,
- The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities – 366.8 thousand UAH,
- National Agency for Corruption Prevention – 355.8 thousand UAH,
- State Agency for Arts and Artistic Education – 345.4 thousand UAH,
- State Service for Education Quality – 317.9 thousand UAH.
By the way, according to People's Deputy Yaroslav Yurchyshyn, the salaries of elected representatives today amount to approximately 40 thousand UAH per month.
