Financial, military and humanitarian aid: Shmyhal said how much Ukraine expects from partners this year

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported that this year Ukraine will receive various aid in the amount of 8 billion euros from the European Union, Norway and Spain, another 10.6 billion dollars will be given by Great Britain and Canada, and Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland and the Baltic countries will also contribute to the stability of Ukraine.

The Prime Minister said this during a government meeting, Ukrinform reports with reference to his government portal.

“Yesterday, leaders of friendly states arrived in Kyiv. We held a large representative summit Support Ukraine, which was joined online by dozens of high-ranking representatives from European and Asian countries. We were convinced of the unwavering support of our partners on Ukraine's path to a just world. We have specific, significant results,” he noted.

Shmyhal specified that Ukraine will receive 3.5 billion euros in March from the European Union within the framework of the Ukraine Facility program. At the same time, 4.5 billion pounds sterling, or 5.6 billion dollars of military aid will be provided by Great Britain this year.

Ukraine will attract new military equipment, a grant for energy restoration and $5 billion in aid from Russian assets from Canada. At the same time, military, economic, humanitarian support, as well as energy aid in the amount of 3.5 billion euros will be provided by Norway.

“A military aid package worth 1 billion euros has been announced by Spain. Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland and the Baltic countries will also contribute to Ukraine's stability. We greatly appreciate every manifestation of solidarity and view this as an investment in the security of a united Europe,” the head of government added.

As reported by Ukrinform, yesterday in Kyiv the “Support Ukraine” summit took place, where more than 40 leaders of states, institutions and international organizations took part online and offline.
