In 2024, about 62 thousand electric passenger cars were imported to Ukraine, which is 32% more than in 2023.
The Association of Ukrainian Automobile Manufacturers (UkrAvtoProm) reported this in Telegram, citing data from the State Statistics Service, Ukrinform reports.
“According to the State Statistics Service, 61,977 light electric vehicles (BEV) were imported to Ukraine in 2024. This is 32% more than the year before,” the report says.
Of the total number, 16,474 electric cars were new (+52% compared to the 2023 figure), and 45,503 were used (+26%).
New electric vehicles were most often imported from China (14,635 units). In addition, the top five countries importing new cars include Japan (552 units), Germany (382 units), Great Britain (368 units) and Belgium (216 units).
The leader in used electric vehicle deliveries was the United States (17,235 units). Also in the top 5 were Germany (7,318 units), Korea (6,274 units), the United Kingdom (4,180 units) and China (2,573 units).
As reported, Ukrainians purchased about 41.7 thousand used cars from the United States last year, which is 19% of all used cars registered for the first time in 2024.
