In 2024 alone, Ukrainian migrants helped increase Poland's budget revenues by 15.1 billion zlotys.
Last year, Ukrainians contributed about 4 billion dollars (15.1 billion zlotys) to the Polish budget.
These estimates are provided by the Polish State Bank for Economy (BGK), reports Bankier.pl.
“Considering the estimated amount of taxes paid in Poland by migrants from Ukraine, it can be concluded that for every zloty received by Ukrainian citizens under the Family 800 Plus program, migrants paid about 5.4 zlotys to the Polish state budget,” the bank's financial experts reported.
In 2025, Polish medium and large companies plan to increase employment among workers from the EU, in particular from Ukraine.
According to preliminary estimates, there may be more than two million Ukrainian citizens in Poland, of whom about a million came to Poland after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Warsaw has “presented” a bill for the money that Poland spent on Ukraine during the three years of war.
