The head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak and the Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization Arsenio Dominguez quickly discussed the work of the Black Sea “grain corridor” in the minds of the ongoing Russian shelling.
The OP was informed about this, Ukrinform reports.
Yermak, among other things, credited his efforts for supporting Ukraine in the face of a large-scale Russian invasion.
“The International Maritime Organization has always been based on the principles of international law. This is very important for us. We highly value your position,” he said.
The officer of the OP informed about the progress that the Ukrainian and American delegation in Jeddah had reached, ending the 30-day fire regime. Ukraine, as having declared its guilt, is providing insurance to assist the International Maritime Organization in controlling fire at sea and ensuring safe navigation.
Yermak also reported on the ongoing attacks of Russian troops on the port infrastructure of the Odessa region. He said that these attacks will destabilize global supply chains and threaten food security.
Kerivnik OP called on the International Maritime Organization to regularly inform the world about Russia’s atrocities against the Ukrainian port infrastructure and to issue stronger calls, directly to counter the Russian shadow to the fleet.
Domínguez also said that the International Maritime Organization will continue to promote the principles of free navigation and safety of crews in the Black Sea.
As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine is deprived of a reliable supplier of food for the world's most affluent countries due to the Russian Federation's direct attack on its grain crops.
