Rumors about tax increases for sole proprietors were actively spread on social networks.
The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine notes that statements about increasing taxes for sole proprietors are disinformation. No decisions have been made on this issue, and rumors are being spread for manipulative purposes.
The press service of the Ministry of Finance reported this.
“Legislative changes regarding elements of the simplified taxation system will begin to be developed only after the prerequisites for such a reform are met – not earlier than the year following the year in which measures for the security of data use and access to information on the volume and circulation of taxpayers' funds in their bank accounts are considered to have been completed,” the statement says.
It is noted that any changes in the tax system will be discussed publicly with the involvement of the public, business, all branches of government and international partners. Only after open discussions will legislative initiatives be considered by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
