It is proposed to cancel the payment for the period of martial law and for one year after its cancellation.
Bill No. 13095 has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada, which proposes to abolish the fee for natural gas transportation for Ukrainians.
The author of the document, published on the parliament’s website, is budget committee member Maksym Zaremsky.
Thus, the bill proposes to exempt household consumers from paying for services for the transportation and distribution of natural gas. The corresponding payment should be cancelled for the period of martial law and for a year after its cancellation.
Zaremsky explained his initiative by the fact that “in Ukraine, most people survive on minimum wages and even less on pensions or other social benefits,” while at the same time taxes are rising.
The MP pointed out that in his constituency people are often outraged by the fees for transportation and distribution of gas through networks that were built at the expense of homeowners.
Let us recall that from April 1, 2025, gas consumers in Ukraine will face additional expenses. Thus, Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine LLC announced the introduction of new rates for the service of technical maintenance of buildings.
