Ukraine prepared and submitted its first integration proposal for the adoption of the National Energy and Climate Plan (NPEC).
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine reports this, Ukrinform reports.
It is stated that on the 15th of 2025, Ukraine announced the start of an Energy Partnership on par with the countries of the European Union, with the addition of all European regulations and legislation. The development of information was ensured by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine in collaboration with other relevant ministries and the Central Educational Inspectorate.
“The first integration is due to the implementation of NPEC, which we prepared clearly and promptly, in this term, demonstrates the seriousness of our intentions to integrate into the European energy and climatic space. This is the result of an effective comprehensive interdepartmental cooperation, which will form the basis of mid-term economic planning for the near future,” said the first defender of the Minister of Economy Ukraine Oleksiy Sobolev.
The document consists of 23 thematic supplements that support the development of modern energy, the functioning of electricity and natural gas markets, energy security, decarbonization of the economy, Energy efficiency and promotion of innovation in the energy sector.
As reported by Ukrinform, on June 25, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine praised the National Energy and Climate Plan (NPEC) for the period until 2030. Ukraine has developed the NPEC in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2018/1999 and with the regulation of the best practices of the EU member states, within the framework of its obligations as contracting parties of the Energy Partnership and EU membership process.
