In the European Parliament on 18 February, rumors arose on the topic of transfers of agricultural trade between Ukraine and the EU, where speakers announced the need for import of Ukrainian peel and chicken.
As reported by Ukrinform, the press service of the Ukrainian Agricultural Business Club (UCAB) reports this.
It is expected that the meeting will bring together European representatives of the agro-harvest industry, members of the European Parliament, representatives of the European Commission and the EU countries, who discussed the benefits of imports Ukrainian agricultural products.
Zokrema, President of the Association of European Industrial Crop Farmers (CIUS), Yuri Sharanov, noted that Europe faces a crop shortage and will soon require imports of 2-3 million tons.
“Ukrainian zukor plays an important role in ensuring supply stability and maintaining a positive balance of European agri-food exports. In 2022-2024, the EU imported almost 1 million tons Ukrainian tsukr, which helped save over 400 thousand jobs in 15 thousand companies that our association represents,” added Sharanov.

Professor at the University of Göttingen Stefan von Cramon-Taubadel demonstrated in his presentation that the import of Ukrainian crops in 2022-2024 will not lead to the decline of crop production in the EU, but will to mitigate the negative legacy of the shortage of this product on the European market.
With his opinion, the vice-president of the European Association of Meat Trade and Meat Processing Industry (UECBV) Kalle Ramvall emphasized the need to import chicken from Ukraine.

“Europe itself needs to remain in imports. Therefore, saving private trade is even important for price stability and food security. Ukrainian chicken is an important element of this “Saving essential trade obligations between Ukraine and the EU does not mean economic benefits, but also the stability of food markets,” says Ramvall.
As it was reported, Ukraine and the Turkmenistan region are expanding their agricultural production, and it is planned to increase the supply of poultry meat, milk and dairy products, honey, live meat and other horned meats, vegetables, oils, fruits and organic products.
