Due to the inactivity of Naftogaz, Ukraine can spend ₴1.6 billion - NABU

Statement of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine called in. O. kerivnik NJSC “Naftogaz” until the appropriate approach, or not waste the opportunity to turn around the cordon of 1.6 billion UAH.

It is understood that anti-corruption agencies are systematically engaged in the transfer of assets to Ukraine and counter corruption schemes that threaten government interests.

“The real possibility of the first return in the entire history of Ukraine from behind the cordon of 1.6 billion UAH has been denied. For just that price, up to the butt, it would have been possible to add over 100 thousand FPV drones,” the SAPO said.

Nowadays it becomes clear that the position on the side of the head is destructive. The management of NJSC Naftogaz can lead to the loss of such capacity, which anti-corruption authorities are actively working on.

“The protection of sovereign interests is due to the strong similarity of all sovereign institutions, so the government of Naftogaz does not have to go through all the necessary steps,” they emphasized prosecutor's office

In connection with this, anti-corruption authorities call for transparency and appropriate approach. “Ukraine cannot afford to waste the opportunity to turn around important assets through inactivity or lack of proper reaction,” the SAPO said.

As reported to Ukrinform, the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, Semyon Kryvonos, stated that negotiations are underway with international partners about the return to Ukraine of 39 million dollars seized from Switzerland.

Previously, the director of NABU stated that last year detectives sent 113 indictments to trial, including 10 against people's deputies, 5 against members of the Cabinet of Ministers and their defenders, 9 against judges, 7 against sovereigns category “A” servicemen and 4 prosecutors.

For completed investigations, a premium of 26 billion hryvnias was established. 6.8 billion assets have been seized, and civil appeals have been filed for another 23 billion. The state lost 304 million hryvnias.
