The rise in prices for cucumbers in Ukraine does not stop.
In Ukraine, there has been an increase in prices for cucumbers for the second week.
This was reported by analysts at EastFruit.
The price increase is due to increased demand, particularly among retail chains and large wholesale companies. In addition, the reduction in supplies of imported cucumbers allowed Ukrainian greenhouse producers to raise prices for their products.
Today, the price of cucumbers from Ukrainian greenhouses varies from 95 to 140 UAH/kg ($2.29-3.37/kg), which is 12% more than last week. However, due to unfavorable weather conditions, the volume of cucumber harvesting in greenhouses has decreased, but the demand for the product remains high. At the same time, cucumber prices in Ukraine are now 10% lower than at this time last year.
Let us remind you that carrots are getting cheaper in Ukraine.
