Global vehicle production in 2024 changed by 1% compared to 2023 and reached 92.491 million units.
The Association of Automotive Manufacturers of Ukraine (Ukravtoprom) reported this to Telegram via the Worldwide Organization of Automobile Manufacturers, reports Ukrinform.
According to data from the Worldwide Organization of Automotive Manufacturers (OISA), in 2024 the largest share of global vehicle manufacturing will be passenger cars, of which 67.7 million were produced. (-1%). 20.9 million units of light commercial vehicles were produced. (-3%), great vintage cars – 3.6 million. (-2%), buses – 291 thousand. od. (+17%).
It turns out that China is the world's largest manufacturer of automobiles, with around 31.3 million units produced over the past year. motor transport (+4%). The USA is in second place with a result of 10.5 million. (-1%). The third result was demonstrated by Japan – 8.2 million units. (-9%). Also, the first five were spent by India – 6 million. (+3%) and Mexico – 4.2 million. (+5%).
As reported, the global volume of motor transport in 2023 was 93.547 million units, which is 10% more than in 2019 and 2% more than in 2019.
