Germany does not plan to buy gas from Russia and take over Nord Stream

Germany does not plan to be subject to anti-Russian sanctions, but will not resort to the practice of direct gas purchases from the Russian Federation.

As an Ukrinform correspondent reports, this was confirmed at a briefing on Monday by river workers from various German structures.

“We respect the sanctions imposed against Russia through its war against Ukraine, imposed by the local authorities. We support and support the sanctions imposed on equal terms with the EU,” said Christiane Hoffmann, the intercessor of the river transport operator to the federal government.

MZS spokeswoman Katrin Deschauer added her words: “Without peace there will be no changes to European sanctions.” Vaughn added that it was in the hands of Russia itself to do so, and sanctions would be lifted, triggering a war against the neighboring power.

Representative of the Ministry of Economic Affairs Anika Eingorn commented on the change in the practice of purchasing natural gas. Behind these words, Germany has made great efforts to ensure that Russia has already lost its position in the energy sector and has no intention of squandering it again, even if energy freedom is “great value.”

In response to concerns about the possibility of starting to import natural gas again, one of the 4 connections of the Nord Stream pipeline (which became unmaintained after the third spring of 2022 – ed.), Eingorn stated that “There are no such plans.” When asked to comment on Berlin’s position before being informed about the changes that the United States and Russia were supposed to lead to the gas, she began to sing that “the German order routinely does not receive detention before such negotiations and has nothing to do with it.” sleeping.”

The representative of the Ministry of Economy also said that the German government does not purchase liquid gas from Russia, but did not mention that the volumes of gas that commercial companies purchase may contain “molecules” Russian LNG.

As reported, the representative of the European Commission, Anna-Kaisa Itkonen, said earlier that “Pink Flow – 2” has never supplied gas to the EU, and the European Commission has not received the necessary political discussions in this regard, but we must ensure that for any development this project does not violate the proper EU legislation in the gas sector.

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine called on the vocal representatives of Germany and other countries, who are in favor of the renewal of the Povnichny Potik gas pipeline, not to injure their own citizens and cause Europe to become insecure, connected with this Russian geopolitical project.

Previously, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov stated that Washington and Moscow were negotiating about updating the activity of the Pivnichny Potik gas pipeline.
