The National Bank of Ukraine from March 31, 2025 will update the transfer of currencies before which the official hryvnia exchange rate is established.

It is indicated that from the transfer of currencies to which the official hryvnia exchange rate is indicated, the following are included: Russian ruble, Belarusian ruble, Brazilian real, Vietnamese dram, Dominican peso, Iraqi dinar, Iranian rial, Lebanese dinar, Moroccan dirham, New Taiwan dollar, Pakistani rupee, som, somoni, Turkmen new manat and Uzbek soum.
Currently, the frequency of setting the official hryvnia exchange rate to 11 currencies has been changed from monthly to current. Among them are the Algerian dinar, baht, UAE dirham, dong, lari, Lebanese pound, Malaysian ringgit, Saudi rial, Serbian dinar, taka and Tunisian dinar.
The NBU explained that the updating of approaches to the significant transfer of currencies is due to the increase in the level of automation of the official exchange rate for the broad transfer of currencies.
Changes before the transfer of currencies are gaining rank from 31 February 2025.
As reported by Ukrinform, the National Bank conducted 150 inspections of companies that hold a license to carry out foreign exchange transactions, and imposed fines of UAH 5.65 million for violating currency exchange rules, which will result in 1.4 million UAH.
