In response to the unjustified import of the United States, Canada collects 25% of all vehicles imported from the United States.
As an Ukrinform correspondent reports, Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney stated this in Ottawa.
“Canada confirms that the US has taken a different approach: we are selling 25% of the tax on all cars imported from the US, which do not correspond to the minds of the former American people about the war trade, as well as non-Canadian components of automobiles imported from the United States, as they suggest free trade minds,” Carney said.
He said that Canadian mirrors, unlike American ones, do not apply to automotive parts, “due to our knowledge of the advantages of our integrated production system.” “Mita also does not oppose automobile warehouses from Mexico, as it seeks to promote free trade,” the prime minister said.
Carney added that Canada is expected to bring these measures to the state budget by close to 8 billion dollars and send all these funds “directly to the workers and companies that suffered from the measures.”
As reported by Ukrinform, US President Donald Trump loudly voted against the introduction of large-scale military tariffs against the trading partners of the United States, calling it “Day of Liberation” for America. Although he wants this new tax not to be extended to Canada, Trump previously allocated 25% of the tax on cars and parts imported from Canada.
