The Ministry of Economics presented the concept of the Ukrainian pavilion at Expo 2025

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine presented the concept of the national pavilion for the World Exhibition EXPO 2025 in Osatsu (Japan) under the title “Not For Sale”, which visualizes values Ukrainian marriage through the metaphor of a store where nothing can be bought.

This was announced by Intercessor of the Minister of Economy Tetyana Berezhna during the press conference dedicated to Ukraine’s participation at EXPO 2025, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Ukraine’s participation in Expo 2025 in Osatsa is a strategic opportunity to show our world values and resilience. We demonstrate that the most flexible minds of Ukrainians will continue to struggle, develop and become innovative. Another way to show our economic potential is to tell stories of entrepreneurs who reinvent themselves during war and collapse, enter new markets, and shine a light. Entering the fields of Expo 2025 will be the opportunity to ruin economical cooperation with Japan and our key global partners,” said First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko.

Zokrema, the concept of the Ukrainian pavilion reveals the theme “The Values of the Future: Actions over Declarations.” The pavilion will give shape to the store under the name “Not for sale”, which aims to display special “artifact goods” – the values of the Ukrainian marriage, which are demonstrated not only in words, but in real deeds to the people today.

Basically, the main elements will be artifacts with barcodes that can be scanned, after which we can produce a video that demonstrates the real values of Ukraine.

“For example, we will show how Ukrainian farmers, during the war, continue to chew, grow grain and extract oil. How the creatures died when the Kakhovka hydroelectric station was destroyed, how our children begin to grow up in underground shelters,” Berezhna added.

In addition, between the pavilion there is a “Value-Oriented Economy” space, where artifacts from Ukrainian companies that work in the face of war and the end of technology will be presented. companies Ajax Systems, PJSC “Ukrnafta”, manufacturer and distributor of household and special hygiene products “Biosphere” DTEK, JSC “Oshchadbank” and agro-industrial holding “Astarta”.

In a comment to an Ukrinform correspondent, Intercessor of the Minister of Economy Tetyana Berezhna shared various details of preparations before the international exhibition. Behind these words, the Japanese side reacted positively to the idea of implementing the Ukrainian pavilion, since there are similar values and a similar history, which allows the future to be held at the same time Japanese economy and people.

“Our entire pavilion, walls, majestic structures are all Japanese investment, investment in Expo. We felt a great boost in preparation, because we need to coordinate a lot of different speeches, so Japan became a great boost for us,” Berezhna said.

Vaughn also shared her impressions of the upcoming exhibition, especially in the context of Ukraine. Berezhna stressed that it is important to show the 25 million Expo 2025 attendees what the Ukrainian people are really going through, what difficulties they face and how they face them.

As stated, EXPO is a worldwide exhibition that is held every five years as a global platform for demonstrating innovation, technological achievements and cultural exchange. The 13th anniversary in Osatsi (Japan), the start of EXPO 2025, which marks the end of the 13th anniversary, is dedicated to the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”. The exhibition shares the same fate as 161 countries and 25 international organizations. Russia was not allowed to participate.

At the national exhibition Expo 2025, Japan will provide Ukraine with space-free pavilion space and support the region's financial organization.
